A Fair Train Christmas Story

Twas the night before Fair Train Christmas, when all through the office,

Not an apprentice was stirring, not even the novice.

The stockings were hung by the desks with care,

In the hope that St Nicholas soon would be there.

Once upon a December night, jolly old St. Nick had a terrible fright. His elves were a mess, shouting in protest. No training in place and worry in his face, He thought “how can I improve my work experience scheme?” He pondered for a while then his eyes were a gleam, he had an idea, he shouted to his team: “Prepare my sleigh, I’m going out today!”

With reindeer ready and elf-nav on, St Nick typed out the postal code and sped off in the night to Warwick road.

He flew through the night and arrived on site, just as Beth had sat down with her morning brew. She looked up, took in the sight and said: “Oh hello St. Nick what can I do for you?”

“The elves are unruly can you help?” Said Nick. Beth smiled coolly – he was missing a trick.

She passed St Nick the Work Experience Quality Standards, “Oh thank you”, he replied, “My prayers have been answered!”

St Nick took a seat and put up his feet and read through the Work Experience Quality Standards. After quite a gander old st nick let out some laughter! “Perfect!” He exclaimed, “With the help of Fair Train, the elves get what they need”, he thought to his busy workers and then beamed.

St Nick became accredited at Gold Level of course, the elves were calm and guidance was in force. He hung up his certificate in pride of place, between presents and happy elves, on the fire place.
