Sun. Sea. Apprenticeships!
So it’s been a very busy few weeks at Fair Train we’ve had our amazing new marketing manager start, Jessica, she’s been very busy attending and showcasing the Quality Standard at the AELP (Association of Employment and Learning Providers) National Conference, the NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) conference. She’s also been off to Spirit Pub Company, not for a few cheeky drinks but to present them with their Gold Quality Standard Award! So of course that’s meant a lot of hard work back at the office for me, making up our lovely information packs for these conferences and also welcoming our new Adopters and Members to Fair Train.
We’ve been enjoying the lovely weather from our desks, but did you know there’s a brand new scheme for young people looking for Apprenticeships? Well I think I’ve found a perfect placement. Erasmus is a programme that combines having a good time while studying in another country, that’s right sun, sea and Apprenticeships! Unemployment is high and there are two million job vacancies across the European Union where employers can’t find people with the right skills. As someone who appreciates what an Apprenticeship can do for a young person, a scheme like this seems like an ideal way to further your opportunities whilst experiencing different cultures. Think of all the lovely places you could go – sitting in the sun doing your coursework in Portugal or Learning Italian in Venice or off to Cyprus to finish your bachelor’s degree. I would be jealous but here is where I want to be.
